I used to say that content needed to be entertaining or educational. And my temptation was to lean towards creating educational content.

But I now agree with Guillebeau.

People need to be entertained and cared about more than they need to be educated. They'll learn by osmosis.

It is tough - and not just due to our attention issues around media, and thus also within school and education environments. On one side you have badly designed school programs who rely heavily on education delivered through pre-tailored digital content while the teacher is struggling with their not so contemporary knowledge about that (of course, there are environments where it is done properly); while on the next level you got Universities who are so far behind and stuck in the stone age that it is very convenient to find better content online.

It is like with everything, at least from my perspective and teaching experience:

Flexibility in what you deliver and how you deliver it for whom should always be the starting point.
